Stage 1 - Notice to Driver

Stage 2 - Notice to Keeper

Everything Parking Parking Charge Notice

Stage 2a - Reminder to Keeper

Some companies send out a reminder 7 days after the Notice to Keeper letter. This confuses people as they think they have lost the chance to appeal. You haven't. You can still appeal within the 28 days though there is no legal reason why you cannot appeal at any time to "mitigate" loss.

Stage 3 - Appeal Rejection

Everyone gets one of these but this is your chance to appeal to the POPLA to get it cancelled.

Stage 4 - Debt Collector letters

See the Debt Collection section for more information on this stage.

This website which the BMPA  provide free to motorists  is absolutely amazing. It is very informative and easy to follow and understand.

Whilst I appreciate there has to be control in respect of vehicles on 'Private Property' such as at retail parks, I do believe that the Car Park Operators, who are employed by the Landowners should carry out their duties in compliance with the law ( Rules and Regulations ) governing the subject.

Some Car Park Operators controlling car parks on private lands seem to think that they can issue tickets and demand payment of extortionate charges ( e.g. £100 )  without compliance with the law themselves.

In respect of 'Automatic Number Plate Recognition ( via camera on entry and leaving the car park ) where they maintain there has been a transgression of terms and conditions of parking, they fail to send/ serve  notice to the Registered Keeper within the prescribed limit of 14 days from the time the alleged transgression occurred.   I received such a notice by post 20 days after the alleged overstay at the car park  demanding £100 .

BMPA have certainly been a great advantage to me  in knowing the legal requirements that a CPO must comply with.     I shall NOT be paying the charge sent me by 'EVERYTHING PARKING LTD., GLOUCESTER.
